Pennsylvania Colonyfounded by William Penn in 1681, Pennsylvania was a hub for economic growth, fair native treatment, and religious freedom. Philadelphia was the largest city both in Pennsylvania and the thirteen colonies.

New York ColonyBeginning its history as New Amsterdam until it was renamed by the English in 1664. New York was once part of the New England dominion but split after the Leisler's rebellion.

New JerseyKings Charles II chartered the colony of New Jersey as a proprietary that eventually split into two colonies. these being East and West New Jersey. Consolidated into a Royal colony 1702. .

The small colony of Delaware was originally owned by William Penn and was given to him by the Duke of York. In 1701 After troubles governing the ethnically diverse colony, Penn allowed them a separate colonial assembly. Delaware was the first colony to ratify the constitution and therefore to become a state.
